We rely solely on public donations and generous volunteers to operate. Our services are only limited by what we are able to fund. Donations of any size are welcomed & appreciated.
Checks to Voice for Companion Animals can be mailed to PO Box 5256, Grand Island, NE 68802.
PayPal accounts can be set up for reoccurring donations.
Donate Pet Food or Supplies
A large part of what we do is provide emergency pet food to our clients. Any donation of any amount of unopened pet food is appreciated! Kibble, canned, frozen or fresh refrigerated food is all accepted. We do require that the packages be unopened for safety and quality reasons.
We also accept pet supplies (new or gently used). We have a wishlist on Amazon (click the Amazon button below) with our frequently needed items listed. You can purchase anything from our wishlist, and it will automatically be sent to VCA!
Please contact us to arrange pick up or drop off of donations. We are usually able to meet donors to pick up items- just ask!
If you are a business owner, and would like to help us by offering food or supplies, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or use the button below to email us.
Are you a veterinarian, dog trainer, or any other animal professional?
Our clients often ask for help with veterinary expenses such as routine spay and neutering, vaccines, and wellness check ups. We are typically not able to help with large financial obligations such as surgeries or treatments for chronic conditions. If you are a veterinarian and would like to donate your expertise on behalf of VCA, please contact us at email@example.com.
We would also love to provide free or reduced cost microchipping clinics for our clients. Vet techs can help us with this by donating their time to help microchip pets during a clinic.
Occasionally, a client will need help with a behavioral issue. If you are a dog trainer who uses positive training techniques, and would like to offer your services at a free or reduced rate, please contact us!
Please contact us for volunteer opportunities! Here are some of the things we could use help with:
~ Transportation. This could mean loaning your truck or trailer to pick up large donations of pet food, or helping to transport supplies or animals.
~ Open your home to an animal in need. This could mean temporarily housing a pet who is in a crisis situation, or fostering a homeless pet.
~ Helping with fundraising. This could mean helping us organize an online auction, or by helping us set up a booth for events.
We hope to be able to expand our services in the future to include things like routine veterinary care and training.
If you have a specialized trade or talent, and would like to share it with VCA, please contact us!
